Melissa Arthur has been named interim head golf coach at Washington State University for the rest of the 1998 season.
Arthur, 25, who has been the assistant, steps in for Dan Koesters, who left to take over at his alma mater, New Mexico State.

A graduate of Iowa State, she spent a year on the Futures Tour and coached at a Bloomington, Ind., high school.
