Six Our Generation students participated in the second annual Assume a Disability for a Day project sponsored by The Arc of Spokane and several other local human service agencies.

On March 19, the students drew their disability out of a bowl and then assumed that disability the next day. They share their experiences today, kicking off an ongoing, occasional feature in Our Generation called In Your Shoes.

By putting themselves in situations they’re not familiar with, Our Generation students will increase their own awareness, and - we hope - our readers,’ of the differences that make us who we are.
