David Klakken Spokane
Memorial service for David A. Klakken, 67, was Friday at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Mr. Klakken, who was born in Plentywood, Mont., died Wednesday.
He was raised in Dooley, Mont., and served 22 years in the Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Mr. Klakken was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Redeemer Lutheran Church and a retired member of Plumbers, Steamfitters and Pipefitters Union Local No. 44.
He worked for many years as a refrigeration engineer until his retirement. He was a resident of Spokane for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Ina; four daughters, Pearl Klakken, Brenda Whittam and Cassandra Farnsworth, all of Spokane and Lydia Munson of Chattaroy; two sons, Andrew Klakken of Tacoma and Roger Klakken of Parkdale, Ore.; three sisters, Althea Treftz of Glendive, Mont., Arlene Jones of Meadville, Miss., and Karen Sachow of Plentywood; two brothers, Dennis Klakken of Billings, Mont., and Wallace Klakken of Gravity, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Institute of Spokane.
Sherman Becker Pullman
Funeral for Sherman G. Becker, 66, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Burial will follow at the Pullman International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Becker, who was born in Spokane, died Thursday.
He spent his early years in Pullman before moving to Silverdale, Wash., for a short time. He then moved back to Pullman.
Mr. Becker worked for the Salvation Army in various capacities in Spokane.
He then worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the maintenance department.
Mr. Becker returned to Pullman four years ago and was a member of Moscow Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two sons, Rocky and Sherman Becker Jr., both of Tacoma; two half-sisters, Doreen Hoch of Deer Park and Charlene Turner of Boise; a half-brother, Duane Becker of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several grandchildren.
George Heath Mesa, Ariz.
Memorial service for George Willis Heath, 79, will be held in Spokane at a later date.
Mr. Heath, who was born in Reardan, Wash., died March 25.
He was raised in Cheney and served in the Army as a surgical technician during World War II in Africa, Italy, France and Germany.
In 1941 he married Neva Baldwin in Seattle.
After the war, he lived in Lewiston, and Kennewick. He moved to Spokane in 1957.
Mr. Heath owned and operated Heath-Eggleston, a food distribution company. He retired in 1981.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fountain of the Sun Country Club in Mesa and the Spokane Senior Golf Association.
After his retirement he and his wife spent winters in Mesa.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Wendy Hinckle of Ellensburg; and a grandson.

George Glass Greenacres
Visitation for George C. Glass, 61, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Glass, a 27-year resident of Spokane, died Thursday.
He was born in Chicago and worked for 28 years as a chrome plater for Metallic Arts.
Mr. Glass was an antiques collector.
Survivors include two daughters, Stefanie and Erica Glass, both of Spokane; two sisters, Nancy Eaton of Spokane and Helen Hofer of Dayton, Wash.; and a brother, Mike Glass of California.
