Puppy Love

Pam Adams Of Otis Orchards

Jaclyn Adams

My Everyday Hero is my daughter, Jaclyn Adams. She dreamed of an idea to help the less fortunate dogs and cats at the Humane Society by selling mints for 25 cents at a local pet supply store. She made a poster, decorated a small butter dish for the coins, and purchased bags of mints with her savings. Her successful venture has made about $200 to date. She also volunteers to help clean cages.

I think it’s wonderful what a young, giving heart and mind can do with an idea that becomes a very special reality. We need to let children see how important they are and that they do make a difference.

P.S. - Jaclyn was also very involved in caring for and loving a 1-day-old puppy left in a box to die. Rosie is now 4 years old, weighs 90 pounds, and sleeps right next to Jaclyn every night.

who told us about special people in our community who deserve recognition. Heroes truly walk among us.
