Fisheries research is under way at Amber Lake in Spokane County and McDowell Lake in Stevens County Both lakes are particularly popular with fly fishers.

“Mostly we need anglers to fill out the survey forms that are at the access areas,” said Curt Vail, Washington Fish and Wildlife Department biologist.
