Shooting Upgrades
Shooting
The Spokane area sporting clays shooting ranges continue to spread their appeal from the barn yard to the board room.
Groups ranging from the Future Farmers of America to the Associated Builders and Contractors have scheduled full days or weekends of shooting at Landt Farms Sporting clays. The goals are diverse, ranging from honing safe shooting skills to forging business relationships.
The causal nature of a sporting clays range is a boon.
Instead of lining up to the sterile personal concentration of a trap squad, sporting clays groups walk in social groups through the countryside to asthetic natural game shooting situations.
The courses are designed for safety and the shotguns are, of course, unloaded until the shooter steps onto the shooting station.
Beyond that, it’s like a walk in the woods with good friends.
Landt Farms has made upgrades recently, adding more electronic traps , installing a patterning board for the convenience of hunters who want to test different chokes and shot sizes.
If you think you’re a hot shot, you can step up the the challenge of the Covery Chukar Station, at which two shooters fire and reload to do their best at breaking up to 30 targets that fly in a flurry.
