Apparent Suicide Victim Identified

From Staff

Investigators have identified the body of a man found Sunday hanging from a tree in the Spokane Valley as 32-year-old Brian Keith Munson.

He apparently committed suicide, investigators said.

A hiker found his body three-quarters of a mile west of Harvard Road near the north bank of the Spokane River.

Identification was found on Munson’s body, which was badly decomposed. He was formally identified Monday through fingerprints, investigators said.

Officers had been looking for him since they found his car abandoned in Harvard Park on March 17.

He was wanted on numerous charges involving suspected sexual involvement with a 13-year-old girl.
