Maude L. Laughlin Millwood

Maude L. (Crum) Laughlin is 105 years old today.

Laughlin was born April 25, 1893, in Rathdrum, Idaho. She is a lifetime resident of Inland Northwest and moved to Millwood seven years ago.

Laughlin married John Laughlin in 1910. He died in 1957.

A talented artist, she was a homemaker, said her daughter, Peggy Cunningham.

Besides Cunningham of Otis Orchards, her children are Nancy Strong, Coupeville, Wash., and Lois Scott, Perry, Iowa.

Laughlin has 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

When asked how she has achieved her longevity, her usual reply is, “One day at a time and just keep breathing.”
