Interplayers Theatre Holding Auditions
Interplayers Theatre will hold auditions for its 1998-99 season from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10 and 11 at the theater, 174 S. Howard.
Scheduled plays are “Absent Friends” by Alan Ayckbourn, an adaptation of Max Frisch’s “The Firebugs,” “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” by Alfred Uhry, “Park Your Car in Harvard Yard” by Israel Horovitz, “Angel Street” by Patrick Hamilton, and “How I Learned to Drive” by Paula Vogel.
Interplayers, a professional, non-equity, resident company, rehearses for 3-1/2 weeks and performs for 3-1/2 weeks. All positions are paid and require a full-time commitment.

Color the kids happy
The fourth session of Spokane Art School’s Summer Art Institute begins Monday. Classes are available for kids, 4 and older, in drawing, cartooning, weaving, fiber arts, ceramics, mask-making, photography and braiding. Morning and afternoon classes are available.

Art Camp in Metaline Falls
The Kirtland Cutter Theatre in Metaline Falls, Wash., is taking registrations for Art Camps ‘98, a series of arts-related classes from August through October.
Topics include painting - watercolor, Sumi-E and oil - playwriting, fiction writing and Native American beadwork.

Colville, Wash., artist Jerry McKellar has been invited to participate in the Loveland Sculpture Invitational Show and Sale in Loveland, Colo. The sale runs Friday through Sunday, Aug. 9. The event typically draws over 400 artists from around the world.
