Church Celebrates 40 Years

The Valley Open Bible Church, 905 N. McDonald, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

More than 400 people turned out for a special celebration on July 26 that featured a video of pictures spanning the past 40 years.

The guest speaker was the Rev. Leif Malmin, who pastored the church from 1969 to 1982. The church’s pastor is Gary Hebden.

Services are offered each Sunday at 8:15 and 11 a.m. and Sunday school classes are at 9:30 a.m.

Bible school

Hope Lutheran Church, 17909 E. Broadway, will host a vacation Bible school next week.

Classes will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

All children age three through the sixth grade are invited to attend.
