Charles M. and Phyllis L. (McPherson) Gilliland, Spokane, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 11 with a gathering at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church.

Hosts for the event were their sons and spouses: Jim and Jan Gilliland, Bob and Donna Gilliland, Edward Gilliland and Jon Gilliland, all of Spokane; and William and Nancy Gilliland, Issaquah, Wash.

The Gillilands were married July 7, 1948, in Spokane. They have 10 grandchildren.
