Way To Go, Sen. Craig

Kudos to U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, for making the White House pay attention to his call for short-term storage of nuclear waste - finally.

To meet its deadline for removing nuclear waste from Idaho, the U.S. needs to build a temporary facility in Nevada.

But President Clinton had, ahem, other things on his mind until Craig tied up his nomination of Bill Richardson for Energy secretary. Now, perhaps the feds will live up to their obligation.
