A longtime state employee hanged himself in the Natural Resources Building on the Capitol campus, officials said.

Kenneth Arlint, 50, a computer specialist with the Department of Natural Resources, was found dead by a coworker Monday morning in a room where communications equipment is stored, State Patrol spokesman Eric Robertson said.

Thurston County Coroner Judy Arnold ruled the death a suicide.

Arlint had been a state employee for almost 30 years, most of them with Resources, agency spokesman Dave Workman said.
