‘Crime And Justice Issues Are A Top Priority’
COVER LETTER
I am seeking this office to act as the voice of my constituents in dealing with critical 4th District issues. Bills must be proposed that are state-funded, which do not leave Spokane County scrambling for additional funds and personnel. For 21 years, on both sides of the state, I have observed the causes and effects of crime and poverty, and the adverse impact they have on social services and government. Real life applications and interaction with city, county, state, and federal government entities have prepared me for this job.
Crime and justice issues are a top priority. I have the necessary experience to enhance our law enforcement agencies and to keep violent offenders incarcerated. Proactive crime prevention programs must educate children, parents and teachers.
Highway systems must be maintained and improved. I will secure our fair share of state transportation money.
The minimum wage must be raised to assure that all families achieve a standard of living necessary to maintain good health and welfare.
Education must focus on teacher and student development and also to identify at-risk students at an early age. Curriculum must adapt to today’s job market. Class size must be reduced.
