Obituaries

Evelyn Berg Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Evelyn B. Berg, 82, will be today from noon-7 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene. Memorial service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at United Community Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley.

Mrs. Berg, who was born in Moscow, died Thursday.

She married Alfred Berg in 1934.

She and her husband moved from southern Idaho to Bonners Ferry in 1945. They moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1959.

She worked at the North Idaho College Bookstore from 1962-1973, and later worked in the college registrar’s office.

Mrs. Berg was a member of the United Community Methodist Church, the Eastern Star in Bonners Ferry and the Lake City Good Sam Club.

Her husband died in 1991.

Survivors include a son, Bill Berg of Spokane, two daughters, Cathy Bowen of Lewiston and Margret Bro of Coeur d’Alene; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to United Community Methodist Church, Coeur d’Alene.

Clyde Kindsvogel Spokane

Private family service for Clyde P. Kindsvogel, 62, will be held at a later date. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kindsvogel, who was born in Fairview, Mont., and raised in Spokane, died Thursday.

He served in the Coast Guard and the Air Force and then worked at Kaiser Trentwood for 24 years as a pipefitter.

Survivors include six children, Dean, David and Kirk Kindsvogel, Carolyn Lang and Kimmie Schaffer, all of Spokane, and Chris Kindsvogel of Bellevue, Wash.; a brother, LeRoy Kindsvogel of Lind, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren.

William ‘Bill’ Parcher Spokane

No service will be held for William D. “Bill” Parcher, 84, at his request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parcher, who was a 41 year resident of Spokane, died Friday.

In 1947 he married Rose Faraca in Castle Rock, Wash., and they came to Spokane in 1957 from Clarkia, Idaho.

He logged and did road construction for 50 years until his retirement in 1974.

Mr. Parcher was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 238.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; two sons, Vic Parcher of Spokane and Tim Parcher of Coeur d’Alene; a sister, Shirley Wallace of Fremont, Calif., and a brother, Bruce Parcher of Petaluma, Calif.

Louise (Jones) Borg Spokane

Funeral for Louise (Jones) Borg, 73, is planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 7th Ward. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Borg, who was born in Manti, Utah, died Wednesday.

She graduated from Manti High School and in 1944 from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.

In 1946 she married James Borg in Manti, and they had lived together in Provo, Utah; Midvale, Wash.; Tacoma and Spokane, where they settled in 1956.

Mrs. Borg worked for Dick Redinger State Farm Insurance in the early 1970s and then as a human resource assistant in the Personnel Department at InterLake School from 1973 to 1991.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various positions, including working with German genealogy records, translating them into English.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Gregory Borg of Spokane, Kimble Borg of Stevensville, Md., Christofer Borg of Bellevue, Wash., Mikel Borg of Austin, Texas, and Shannon Borg of Houston; two daughters, Susan Borg and Kathryn Jessen, both of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7th Ward Fast Offering.

John Heinen Spokane

Funeral Mass for John J. Heinen, 84, is scheduled for 8 a.m. today at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Heinen, who was born in Minot, N.D., died Wednesday.

He worked for the Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern railroads as a brakeman. He was a 61-year resident of Spokane.

Mr. Heinen was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Moose Lodge, the Brotherhood of Friends, the Brotherhood of Trainmen and the Trainmen’s Union.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two sons, Leon Heinen of Ahwahnee, Calif., and Thomas Heinen of Hanover, Germany; four brothers, Donald and Leonard Heinen, both of Spokane, Richard Heinen of New York and Bobby Heinen of Montana; three sisters, Katherine Doree, Margaret Noyes and Elreen Heinen all of Spokane; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
