Groups Set Auditions

North Idaho College Theatre will hold auditions this week and next for two productions - one by a master playwright and the other by a beginning playwright.

Auditions for Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Boswell Hall on the campus. Performances will be Feb. 25 through March 6.

Auditions for “Bitter Cupid,” a comedy by former NIC student D.J. Edmiston, will be 7-9 p.m. Dec. 14-15 in Boswell Hall. Performance dates are March 1-2.

The Spokane Area Children’s Chorus will hold auditions from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 and 15 at Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington. Vocalists between ages 7 and 17 are invited to audition. No preparation is necessary. To schedule an audition, call 624-7992.

Washington State University’s School of Music and Theatre Arts will conduct auditions for its production of “Sweeney Todd” Tuesday through Thursday. Auditions for principal and chorus parts will be for 7-10 p.m. Tuesday, and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Callbacks will be from 7-10 p.m. Thursday.

Each 10-minute audition will include a prepared two- or three-minute song, a cold reading from the script and an interview. To schedule an audition, call (509) 335-7447.

“Sweeny Todd” will be staged April 8-10 and 15-17.

The Rogue Players need five women and six men 19 to 60 years old for their production of “Harvey.” Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1620 N. Monroe. The classic comedy will be presented Jan. 22-30.
