Dollar Falls On Most Markets
The dollar fell against most major currencies Tuesday in light trading as U.S. stocks fell.
Traders had little economic or political news on which to base their trading.
“It’s December, the liquidity is thin, there’s not much news out there,” said Robert Katz, a foreign exchange dealer at MTB Bank Corp. “In the absence of other things, (dollar-trading) is piggybacking off the Dow.”
The Dow Jones industrial average spent the day mostly lower and fell 42.49 to 9,027.98.
