Ucla Coaches Hurt In Auto Accident

Los Angeles Daily News

UCLA coach Bob Toledo and assistant Mark Weber were injured in an automobile accident Monday while recruiting in Atlanta. Neither was seriously hurt, according to UCLA.

Toledo might have suffered a separated shoulder but did not go to the hospital. Both he and Weber, the offensive line coach, had a plethora of aches and bruises.

The woman who hit them supposedly lost control of her car when a balloon she was carrying obstructed her vision.

Toledo continued recruiting and will return to Los Angeles today.

“Recruiting is too important,” said Randy Taylor, director of football operations. “You can always get another shoulder.”
