Orphaned Cub

A wildlife agent rescued an orphaned bear cub that had been surviving on roadkill, donuts and deli sandwiches near Gates, Ore. The 6-month-old cub will “have a nice warm bed for a couple of nights,” state biologist Will High said, but its fate is uncertain. “What we’re trying to do (now) is find a way for this bear to live out its days in peace,” High said. That might include a zoo or a permanent home at a rehab center. If no home can be found, the cub might be euthanized.
