ANALYSIS

Seattle couldn’t pick a better matchup to rebound from last week’s travesty against New York. San Diego is without running back Natrone Means, Ryan Leaf is still serving detention for misbehaving and coach June Jones has planned a Hawaiian vacation. Craig Whelihan has passed for exactly the same yardage as Leaf (1,196), but has been more accurate. His touchdown-interception ratio of 6-8 outshines Leaf’s 2-13. Still, the Chargers aren’t likely to push Seattle’s defense around. And the Chargers’ dark blue helmets shouldn’t be too confusing for the officiating crew. Seahawks win 27-13 to level their record.
