Valley Christian is doing quite well for a team that didn’t play varsity basketball last year.

Freshman Carli Smith had 21 points, 12 rebounds and eight steals Saturday as the Panthers (3-1) beat the two-time State B tournament runner-up Wilbur-Creston Wildcats 48-45 in a Bi-County League game at Wilbur.
