Neighborhood Meetings

The Chief Garry Park Neighborhood Council will meet tonight at 7 at Stevens Elementary School, 1717 E. Sinto.

City Council members and representatives from the county and the Department of Transportation will be on hand to discuss the north-south corridor. The public is welcome to attend.

The Chief Garry Park, Bemiss and Logan neighborhoods will be reviewing the goals and policies of Spokane Horizons. Interested residents, property owners and businesses located in these areas are invited to attend the meetings, to be held at COPS Logan, 1030 N. Hamilton. The schedule follows:

Dec. 18: 1-3 p.m., land use

Dec. 27: 3-5 p.m., transportation

Jan. 3: 3-5 p.m., housing/neighborhoods

Jan. 8: 1-3 p.m., environment

Fairwood S.C.O.P.E. will hold its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 511 W. Hastings Road, Room 210.

Sheriff-Elect Mark Sterk and S.C.O.P.E. Citizen on Patrol coordinator Ann Reggie are the scheduled speakers.
