Ben Addink and Steve Berry combined for 42 points Sunday as the Yakima Valley College men’s basketball team thumped Community Colleges of Spokane 92-71 in the Clackamas Crossover Tournament at Clackamas, Ore.

YVC finished fourth in the tournament. CC Spokane, which ran out of gas after trailing 38-37 at halftime, placed sixth. Yakima has won nine of its 10 games this season. CCS fell to 3-6.

Addink scored 24 points. Berry, who connected on five 3-point attempts, scored 18.

Jon Chatfield collected more than a third of Spokane’s points, pitching in 27 on 9-of-15 shooting, with four 3-pointers, and five foul shots in as many tries. Teammate James Kiger scored 19.

Olympic College won the tournament by defeating Peninsula CC 73-63.
