Summary: Alex Carcamo, a 6-foot-7 junior transfer, who was considered to be the plum of this year’s recruiting class, makes his much-anticipated Division-I debut for Eastern Washington. And the Eagles need him desperately. Not to get past NAIA Evergreen State, but to help stop the bleeding. The Eagles (2-7) have lost seven of their last eight games and are coming off lopsided losses at Cal Poly SLO and San Jose State. Carcamo, who recently finished work on his AA degree at Santa Monica (Calif.) Junior College, should provide Eastern with some size and athletic ability on the wing.
