Pet Stuff Closing Its Doors

Pet Stuff will say goodbye to the Garland shopping district Dec. 31.

Kelly Conley, owner of the organic pet supply store, cited stiff competition as the reason for the small store’s demise.

“Spokane is a mass-merchant kind of town,” she said. “We have many supportive customers, but just not enough.”

Pet Stuff has been at its 634 W. Garland location for 2-1/2 years. Conley said they will continue to offer the products unique to their store - like organic pet food and herbal and homeopathic remedies for pets - via the Internet. Their address is www.ruffstuff.net.

Everything in the store - including the fixtures - is currently on sale.

Oak Mill Furniture opens

The Oak Mill Furniture recently opened at 9310 N. Division, just north of the Division Y.

The family-owned business sells oak furniture for bedrooms, dining rooms and offices, as well as some pieces in pine and cherry.

The store is open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
