West Valley Man Beaten, Robbed
A 36-year-old West Valley man was severely beaten and robbed on his way to a gas station just after midnight Saturday.
The man told police he was walking near Argonne and Knox on his way to get cigarettes at the nearby Holiday gas station when he was struck from behind.
Sheriff’s deputies believe he was attacked by three people. He was struck so severely that it knocked him out and left him with a 1- to 1-1/2-inch gash on his face, a broken jaw and broken bones in his face.
When he awoke, his wallet was on the ground and his money was missing.
He was treated at a Valley medical facility and released.
Medical exams show he was punched severely after he was on the ground, according to police reports.
Sheriff’s deputies have no suspects.
