Video Store Fire Under Investigation

Investigators were trying Monday to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a Spirit Lake video store.

The fire caused an estimated $240,000 in damage to Videos To Go, said Duane Hughes, Spirit Lake fire chief. No one was injured by the Sunday night blaze.

Investigators have found nothing to indicate the fire was intentionally set, Hughes said. However, they have been unable to get inside the building because the fire left it unstable.

The store at Third and Main was closed when the fire was reported at about 9:30 p.m.
