Kelly To Run For Commission
CORRECTION FROM FOR THE RECORD (Saturday, February 7, 1998): Correction Affiliation wrong: Cecil Kelly, a Democratic candidate for Kootenai County Commissioner, was on the board of directors of Children’s Village and is a former member of both the Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis and the Panhandle Kiwanis. A story in Friday’s newspaper incorrectly stated his affiliation with the Kiwanis.
Democrat Cecil Kelly has announced he will run for Kootenai County Commissioner.
Kelly has run the Law Shop in Coeur d’Alene for 15 years. He was Kootenai County United Way Volunteer of the Year in 1990, according to the press release announcing his candidacy.
His background includes volunteering for the Women’s Center Crisis Line and he has been on the board of directors of the Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis and Panhandle Kiwanis.
Kelly serves on the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce Natural Resources Committee and works with the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations. He is a member of the Democratic Kootenai County Central Committee.
