Nic Succumbs At Dixie
Nathaniel Bailey scored 19 points and Johnnie Goodman added 17, but the North Idaho College Cardinals were unable to keep pace with first-place Dixie, losing a 93-71 decision in a Scenic West Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Friday.
The Cardinals stayed as close as 22-18, then 43-28 at halftime, but could not keep the pace.
Dixie, tied for first, went up by 20 early in the second half and stayed comfortably ahead.
Steven Ryan, NIC’s best post player, was out with a broken nose and concussion suffered in a game last week. He may be back next week.
Eric Holmes and Rudy Williams led Dixie with 20 points each.
