Calendar

Here’s a tentative schedule of committee hearings scheduled in the Legislature next week.

There are few hearings because legislators will spend most of their time on the floor voting on bills that made it out of committee last week, the first cutoff for most bills. However, the schedule can change on short notice. Consult the phone numbers or Internet address below for current information.

Law: A bill that would regulate the dissolution of limited partnerships (SB 5064); a bill defining when an assault on a bus driver constitutes third-degree assault (SB 5499). Law & Justice: Wednesday 8 a.m., House Hearing Room A.

Transportation: A bill establishing increased penalties for drunken driving (SB 6293); a bill creating partnerships for strategic freight investments (SB 6461); a bill creating a scenic byways designation program (SB 6500); a bill requiring that new regional transit authority trains be manufactured in Washington (SB 6709); a bill exempting non-commercial marine fuel from sales and use tax (SB 6741). Transportation: Monday 1:30 p.m., Senate Hearing Room 2.

By phone: Law & Justice (360) 786-7462; Transportation (360) 786-7300.
