Arthur Lee made four free throws and Kris Weems added two more in the final 33 seconds as No. 14 Stanford defeated No. 9 UCLA 84-81 Thursday in Los Angeles.

The win was just the third in 33 games for Stanford at Pauley Pavilion since the arena opened in 1965, and it gave the Cardinal (20-3, 9-2 Pac-10) its first sweep over UCLA since the 1989-90 season.

UCLA (18-5, 8-4) overcame a 15-point deficit in the final 7 minutes to tie the game, but never led in the second half.

The Bruins also had their 15-game Pauley Pavilion winning streak snapped.
