Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Each year we recycle hundreds of phone books at my workplace. I tear several of these books apart down the spine to remove the city maps and street directories from them. I then staple them together so that I have several maps. Folded lengthwise, they fit in my glove compartment with the other maps I keep in the car.

Now I never have the frustration of missing map pages from public phone books and I give the extras to lost out-of-town visitors I may run into along the way. - L. Hale, Boise

A wonderful recycling hint and one that surely will help avoid some frazzled nerves. - Heloise xxxx
