10 In Running To Become Miss

Airway Heights Ten young women from the West Plains will be competing this weekend in the Miss Airway Heights Pageant.

“It’s something very positive. It’s a classy event,” said Shaun Mayo, one of the organizers.

The pageant will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Airway Evangelical Church at 12th and King.

The winner will receive a $700 scholarship. Miss Airway Heights will then appear in some 15 parades in the region.

Boosters in Airway Heights sponsor a float and are planning to enter the Lilac Parade this spring.

The contestants are Amanda Moran, Kristen Jonas, Tari Keller, Leah Nathan, Erica Guhlke, Candace Hultberg, Regina Brittain, Clarissa McCall, Heather Haugen and Andrea Schumacher.

Their ages range from 16 to 20.
