Inmate Shatters Glass Divider

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Kootenai County Jail inmate broke the safety glass separating prisoners from visitors in a booth during weekend visiting hours.

The incident was reported Sunday morning, but deputies believe the glass was broken Saturday afternoon by a man angry at his girlfriend.

A man visiting his girlfriend in an adjacent booth told deputies he overheard part of an argument in the damaged booth. He said the inmate, who was not identified, became upset when his girlfriend told him she was seeing someone else.

Damage to the booth was estimated at $900. , DataTimes
