Hauser Zoning Hearing Postponed

From Staff And Wire Reports

A public hearing on a proposed development just outside of Hauser that has incensed many neighbors has been postponed.

The hearing had been scheduled for Monday evening, but not enough of the Planning and Zoning Commissioners will be present.

Neighbors opposed to landowner Carl Staley’s proposal to build a mobile home park near the city’s borders had mailed out 355 postcards to notify interested parties of the hearing.

Staley’s development would include 123 homes on 66 acres and an open sewage lagoon system that some say would stink and that others say would be more environmentally sound than a septic system for that many people.
