Brandon Moore scored 10 of his 27 points in the first quarter and added 12 rebounds as host Medical Lake (13-6, 10-3) defeated Colville 74-57 in Friday’s key boys game.
ML stayed one game ahead of Chewelah for second place, which would result in an opening-round bye to next week’s District 7-2A tournament at Mt. Spokane High.
Moore hit 13 of 21 from the field. Jed Ortner was 7 of 15 from the field for the Indians (11-8, 8-5).
