Cyberfamily Column Debuts

The Internet is a virtual community in the same way Inland Northwest is a physical community. Like any newcomer to a community, you need help on where to go, how to get around and places to avoid.

That’s why there’s CyberFamily, the Spokesman-Review’s new monthly online column by Spokane writer Lynn Gibson. CyberFamily will serve as a directional signpost, helping households navigate this virtual community.

Topics Gibson plans to explore in her column range from Internet etiquette and the value of a Web site for a home-based business to how to do a school research paper and where to find college scholarships.

CyberFamily debuted last week at www.spokane.net (click on Channels). Look for a new column around the 15th of every month.
