Variety Of Charges Filed After Traffic Stop
A Spokane man was arrested on a slew of charges Wednesday after he was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 90.
Trooper Joe Pass stopped Daniel Flaherty near the Havana exit about 3:20 a.m., the Washington State Patrol reported.
When the 25-year-old Flaherty opened his car door, a glass pipe used for smoking drugs fell onto the ground and shattered, troopers said.
Pass then arrested Flaherty on suspicion of drunken driving. While searching Flaherty, Pass found a loaded 9mm pistol, a switch-blade and 11 grams of cocaine, troopers said. The gun was stolen, troopers said.
Pass then took Flaherty to the Spokane County Jail, where he was booked on suspicion of DUI, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a dangerous weapon. , DataTimes
