Donald Squires Pomeroy, Wash.
Funeral for Donald D. Squires, 65, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2112 W. Francis in Spokane. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Richardson-Brown Funeral Home in Pomeroy is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Squires, who was born in Cascade, Mont., died Tuesday.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Mont., and continued his education at Greeley Colorado State Teachers College.
In 1952 he married Carol Henning in Souix Falls, S.D.
Mr. Squires served four years in the Air Force and lived in Spokane during the late 1960s through the 1970s and was employed as an insurance broker.
In 1976 he moved to Pomeroy, where he and his wife owned and operated the Pomeroy Steak House for 10 years.
In 1986 Mr. Squires and his wife returned to Spokane, where they were also in the restaurant business. They moved back to Pomeroy in 1996 to retire.
Mr. Squires was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald Jr., David and Gregory Squires, all of Spokane; three daughters, Tamara White of Holbrook, Ariz., Lynelle Wolf of Pomeroy and Roxane Eicher of Spokane; his father, Calvin Squires of Fairfield, Mont.; four sisters, LeDeanne Allen of Augusta, Mont., Kay Mosher of Logan, Utah, Vicki Fausbender of Fairfield, Mont., and Lila Herrera of South Jordan, Utah; four brothers, Ramon Squires of American Fork, Utah, Calvin Squires of Fairfield, Mont., Gene Squires of California and David Squires of Utah; and 20 grandchildren.

Ernest ‘Ernie’ Pursley Spokane
Memorial service for Ernest “Ernie” Pursley, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brotherhood of Friends Lodge. A buffet luncheon will follow. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pursley, who was born in Portland, died Jan. 27.
He graduated from Cathlamet High School and worked in the construction industry as a pile driver, estimator and superintendent.
Mr. Pursley moved to Spokane in 1955 and worked on the Ice Harbor, Priest Rapids, Boundary and Dworshak dams. He also worked on the Interstate 90 bridges at Stateline, Idaho, and Moses Lake as well as on buildings in Spokane and at Washington State University and many other projects in the Pacific Northwest.
He taught apprenticeship courses at the Building Trades Training School from 1979 to 1984.
Mr. Pursley was a member of the Moose and Brotherhood of Friends lodges and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge.
He was a 52-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He joined Pile Drivers Union Local 2419 in Asoria, Ore., in 1945. He then joined the newly chartered Pile Drivers Union Local 2382 in Spokane, where he became an active trade unionist.
Mr. Pursley served not only as an officer but as a delegate to the Spokane District Council of Carpenters.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; a daughter Patricia Conkle of Southern California; a stepdaughter, Sheryl Cody of Southern California; a stepson, Scott Smith of Oregon; a sister, Margaret Boling of Ocean Park, Wash.; four granddaughters, four stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society or the American Lung Association.
Christina Perius Spokane
Funeral Mass for Christina E. Perius, 74, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Perius, who was born in Esmond, N.D., died Monday.
In 1942 she married Stan Perius in Grand Forks, N.D.
She was a 45-year resident of Spokane and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Perius was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Stan; a son, Peter Perius; a daughter, Rae Ann Murray of Camano Island, Wash.; a brother, Lenny Streifel of Minnesota; a sister, Emma Streifel of North Dakota; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Harold Larsen Colville, Wash.
Funeral for Harold R. Larsen, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Colville First Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Larsen, who was born in Smyrna, Wash., died Tuesday.
He worked as a rancher on a dairy farm and then cattle ranching near Colville.
In 1937 he married Pearl Wagner in Colville.
Mr. Larsen was a charter member of the Stevens County Historical Society, a member of the Stevens County Panorama Quarterhorse Association, American Quarterhorse Association, Panorama Rodeo Cowboy Association, Fort Colville Grange, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, Stevens County Cattlemen’s Association, Dairygold Association and the Washington state board of Western Farmers. He was a former 20-year member of the Colville School District Board.
His wife died in 1989.
Survivors include a special friend, Margaret Habberstad of Colville; a daughter, Darlene Montgomery of Colville; a son, Kenneth Larsen of Bellevue, Wash.; a sister, Marie Barton of Colville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stevens County Historical Society or the Stevens County Sheriff’s Ambulance Fund.
Milford ‘Jim’ Baugh Medical Lake
Memorial service for Milford D. “Jim” Baugh, 66, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fairchild Air Force Base Chapel. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baugh, a native of Texas, died Tuesday.
He served in the Air Force for 23 years as a survival instructor.
In 1955 he married Marilyn Schworer in Reno, Nev.
Mr. Baugh came to Spokane in 1966 from Reno and graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1978.
He was past president of the Local Experimental Aircraft Association and was a member of the Washington State Pilots Association and the Order of Daedalians.
Mr. Baugh spent 11 years building his own airplane.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gregory Baugh of Arizona City; two daughters, Regina Bunyan of Spokane and Lorraine Tobler of Medical Lake; and a sister, Maxine Erwin of Littleton, Colo.

Lucille Green Spokane
Memorial Mass for Lucille M. Green, 87, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Augustine Catholic Church. A private family committal will be held. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Green, who was a resident of Spokane since 1947, died Tuesday.
She was born in Williston, N.D., and majored in journalism at the University of Washington.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and was a member of the St. Augustine Parish, Spokane Country Club, Manito Golf and Country Club, and the Big Deal Investment Club.
Her husband, Spencer Green, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Green of Spokane; a sister, Gladys Haley of Burien, Wash.; and a grandson.

Clinton Merritt Spokane
Visitation for Clinton J. Merritt, 83, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with formal military honors will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Merritt, who was a 37-year resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.
He was born in Piedmont, S.C., and in 1941 married Virginia Thomas in Calhoun Falls, S.C.
Mr. Merritt served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War, in which he received numerous citations and medals, including the Bronze Star.
He retired from the Navy in 1963 after 30 years of service.
Mr. Merritt then became a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch in Spokane, where he worked for 15 years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Spokane North Rotary Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; four sons, Jerry Merritt of Olympia, and Warren, Tom and Richard Merritt, all of Spokane; a daughter, Janet Guenther of Newport, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Ardyce Larkin Spokane
Visitation for Ardyce A. Larkin, 59, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Larkin, who was a 55-year resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.
She was born in Shelby, Mont., and graduated from Rogers High School and Kelsey-Baird Business College.
Mrs. Larkin worked as a secretary for the Washington State Department of Ecology.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Donald; three sons, David Ruskey, and Russell and Donald Larkin, all of Spokane; three daughters, Margie Locher, Barbara Piper and Roberta Renshaw, all of Spokane; her mother, Marjorie Hegna of Spokane; two brothers, Billy Shepherd and Jimmy Gaines, both of Spokane; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

John Carrieres Spokane
Memorial Mass for John N. Carrieres, 67, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Otis Orchards. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carrieres, who was born in Rapid City, S.D., died Saturday in San Diego while on vacation.
He moved to Spokane in 1947 and then served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Carrieres worked as an electrician at Inland Empire Paper Co.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a 40-year member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son, John Carrieres of Spokane; three daughters, Jane Carrieres and Maureen Davis, both of Moses Lake, and Mary McCartney of Spokane; a brother, Al Carrieres of San Diego; a sister, Kathleen Ingvalson of Great Falls, Mont.; and 10 grandchildren.

Richard ‘Dick’ Burch St. Helena, Calif.
Memorial Mass for G. Richard “Dick” Burch, 81, will be at 1 p.m. March 14 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Los Gatos, Calif. St. Helena Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burch, who was born in Spokane, died Jan. 31.
He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and from Gonzaga University in electrical engineering.
Mr. Burch served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 through 1946. He was a colonel directing communications for B-29 bomber squadrons on Guam. He continued his service after World War II as group commander of the 988th Air Reserve Group in Spokane.
In 1965 he moved to California, where he was active in semiconductor manufacturing in the Silicon Valley.
Mr. Burch was a member of the Fly Fishing Society in Washington and California.
His first wife, Nancy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; three sons, Marc Burch of Saratoga, Calif., Craig Burch of Cupertino, Calif., and Lee Burch of Brookings, Ore.; a brother, Bill Burch of Kirkland, Wash., and five grandchildren.

Cleo (Zigler) Hoerner Spokane
Memorial service for Cleo B. (Zigler) Hoerner, 85, will be at 3 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hoerner, who was a 78-year resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.
She was born in Pulaski County, Kan., and graduated from Oakesdale (Wash.) High School.
Mrs. Hoerner worked, at one time, as a cook for Travo’s Restaurant.
She was a member of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Carnine, and a son, George Zigler, both of Spokane; a brother, William Davis of Spokane; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Emma Myers Spokane Funeral for Emma Myers, 92, will be at 1 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Myers, a 70-year resident of Spokane, died Wednesday.
She was born in Warden, Wash., and graduated in 1924 from Warden High School.
Mrs. Myers moved to Spokane in 1927 from Warden and in 1929 married Warren Myers.
She worked for 40 years as a telegraph operator for Burlington Northern Railroad before retiring in 1972.
Mrs. Myers was a 42-year member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Her husband died in 1986.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
