Ike Quartey will defend the WBA welterweight championship against Pernell Whitaker on April 25 in what is being billed as a “fight-fans fight.”

That designation probably explains why a title fight between two of the world’s best boxers is not a pay-per-view bout, and why the 19,522-seat Thomas & Mack Center at Las Vegas will be set up to seat only 9,100 fans.
