Bluegrass Show March 7

The Western Bluegrass Alliance will present a free show March 7 at Otis Orchards Elementary School, 22000 E. Wellesley.

The 8 p.m. show is part of the alliance’s Saturday Nite Bluegrass Thing series. It will feature several bluegrass groups as well as individual fiddlers, banjo pickers, mandolin players and other instrumentalists.

The alliance plans shows at Otis Orchards Elementary on the first Saturday of each month.

The goals of the series are to create a venue for bluegrass musicians to perform, attract new talent to the bluegrass style and introduce music lovers to bluegrass.

The Western Bluegrass Alliance is a non-profit group involved in developing and promoting bluegrass music in the Northwest. For information, call 255-9941.

Orchard Avenue board meets

The Orchard Avenue Irrigation District’s regular board of directors meeting has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be held in the district office, 7415 E. Marietta. The public is welcome. For more information, call 926-4563.
