Man Faces Trial In Steakhouse Fire
Tom “Bubba” Biss, 46, faces trial May 18 on a charge that he torched his popular “Bubba’s” steakhouse last February in the Lincoln County town of Almira.
Biss pleaded innocent this week in Superior Court to a first-degree arson charge. Judge Philip Borst set bail at $50,000, which Biss posted.
The restaurateur was arrested earlier this month in Juneau, Alaska, after a lengthy investigation by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Jerry Lane. Biss waived extradition, posted bond in Juneau and traveled on his own to Davenport to face the arson charge.
