Divorce Recovery Class For Kids Planned First Presbyterian Group Intended To Help Teens, Preteens Cope With Split

First Presbyterian Church is starting off the new year with a selection of new classes.

The first is a divorce recovery class formulated specifically for teenagers and preteens. The support group is intended to help teens recover from a divorce in their family by providing a safe atmosphere where they can share feelings.

Enrollment in the eight-week class is limited to 15. The class will be held each Thursday at 7 p.m. beginning next Thursday.

The cost is $10 per teen and $5 for each additional sibling.

The church will also host a threeweek series called “The Way Life Ought to Be” beginning Sunday.

The class will be taught by Dr. James Edwards, a professor of religion at Whitworth College.

The hourlong class will be held each Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

No advance registration is necessary.

The church is located at 318 S. Cedar.

Epiphany service on Sunday

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry, will host an Epiphany celebration Sunday at 10 a.m.

The special worship service will feature the Madrigal Singers.
