Tekoa-Oakesdale traveled to Washtucna Saturday, hoping to defend its No. 2 state ranking in a Whitman County league showdown, but the LaCrosse-Washtucna Tigercats had other ideas, upsetting the Nighthawks 43-42.
Christa Graffis’ 3-pointer with less than one minute to play cut the Tigercats’ lead to two, but the rally fell short after Graffis missed a free throw with 13 seconds left.
