Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: At one time or another all of us are taking a copy of an article, letter, picture or whatever to someone and need a safe way to carry it.

So, I just roll it up and insert it in an empty roller from paper towels, toilet tissue, ribbon, etc. to protect it. - Mrs. Jackie Blair, Vinton, Va.

Dear Heloise: I was tired of having small appliance cords getting in the way and protruding out of cabinet doors, so I decided to use clothespins for clipping cords together after a wrap or two around the appliance.

When they are not in use, I store my small appliances instead of leaving them on countertops and definitely not plugged into an outlet. - Laverne Shinault, Roanoke, Va.
