Nic Can’t Keep Pace In A 64-58 Loss At Csi
Southern Idaho used a quick start Friday to pin a 64-58 Scenic West Athletic Conference men’s basketball loss on North Idaho College in Twin Falls.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 20-9 first-half lead and held off a late NIC rally en route to their 17th win against one loss.
Nathaniel Bailey’s basket with 5 minutes left gave the Cardinals (10-6) their only lead, 51-50.
Jovann Johnson scored a game-high 18 points for NIC. Steven Ryan added 14 points, while Bailey finished with 10.

Greg Jones’ basket with 2.4 seconds left in the game lifted the Pirates to an NCIC victory Friday over the 19th-ranked Lutes in Tacoma.
Jones, a West Valley High School grad, nailed a 17-footer from the right corner to help the Whits gain a share of first place.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Whitworth coach Warren Friedrichs. “We’ve lost a couple of close games to them over the past few seasons. This was a big, big win for us.”
Jeff Mix topped the Pirates with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Jones finished with 17 points.
Seth Allbright finished with a game-high 27 points for PLU.
