Man Arrested After Wild Chase

From Staff Reports

A Spokane man was arrested Saturday following a wild chase that damaged several patrol cars and forced other vehicles off the road, police said.

Gilbert Mills, 30, of Moses Lake, was booked into the Spokane County Jail for investigation of multiple counts of assault, malicious mischief and attempting to elude police.

He was spotted by officers at 1:30 a.m. driving a Lincoln Town Car with its headlights off on Second Avenue near Howard.

When officers tried to stop him, he started driving through stop lights and stop signs, police said.

As other patrol cars joined the pursuit, the chase picked up speed. Police said Mills drove on sidewalks and went the wrong way on one-way streets, before finally entering Interstate 90.

Officers stopped him near the Geiger Boulevard exit. No injuries were reported. , DataTimes
