Freshman Leads Indiana Over 9th-Ranked Purdue

Freshman Luke Recker had career highs of 27 points and 12 rebounds Sunday and Indiana pulled away in the second half at Bloomington, Ind., to defeat No. 9 Purdue 94-88 and end its four-game losing streak to the Boilermakers.
William Gladness and A.J. Guyton each added 21 points for Indiana (13-5, 4-2 Big Ten).
Purdue (15-4, 3-2) fell behind by 16 points midway through the second half but rallied within 90-86 in the closing minutes behind Jaraan Cornell, who who led Purdue with 27 points.

At Tucson, Ariz., the Wildcats (15-3) badgered the Lobos (13-3) into 25 turnovers en route to an easy non-conference victory.
Mike Bibby had 23 points, six assists and five steals for Arizona.

At Minneapolis, Ryan Bowen scored 19 points and the Hawkeyes (15-2, 4-1 Big Ten) shot 69 percent after trailing 17-2 to rally for a win over the Golden Gophers (7-9, 0-5).

At Athens, Ga., BJ McKie scored 24 points and the Gamecocks (11-3, 3-2 SEC) held the Bulldogs (8-8, 0-4) to two baskets over the final 9:59 for the victory.

At Atlanta, Randell Jackson scored 22 points and Corey Louis added 15 to help the Seminoles (13-5, 2-4 ACC) snap a three-game conference losing streak with a win over the Yellow Jackets (12-5, 2-3).

At Syracuse, N.Y., Marius Janulis broke out of a one-game shooting drought by hitting four 3-pointers in the first half and Todd Burgan added a season-high 26 points to lead the Orangemen (15-2, 5-1 Big East) over the Hurricanes (12-4, 5-3).

At Villanova, Pa., Damian Owens scored six of his 21 points in overtime and the Mountaineers (15-3, 5-3 Big East) took advantage of poor foul shooting by the Wildcats (7-8, 4-3) to pick up the victory.

At Honolulu, Alika Smith scored 25 points and Anthony Carter added 22 as the Rainbows (12-2, 1-1 WAC) held off the Mustangs (12-3, 2-2) late Saturday night.
