Frieda (Frauchiger) Derry Spokane

Frieda (Frauchiger) Derry celebrates her 100th birthday today.

She was born Jan. 26, 1898, in Switzerland, and has lived in Spokane for 70 years.

She married Fred Frauchiger. He died in 1963. Her second husband, Frank Derry, died in 1980.

Derry, a homemaker, worked at the Edgecliff Tuberculosis Sanitarium and at a box factory.

Her son, Erwin Frauchiger, died in 1985. She has two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Derry, who has always liked to walk, still walks every day.
