Dolores Bezdicek-Seeberger Spokane

Memorial service for Dolores Bezdicek-Seeberger, 73, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sons of Norway. A reception will follow.

Mrs. Bezdicek-Seeberger, who was born in North Dakota, died Jan. 23.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington College in elementary education and taught for 23 years in the Riverside School District.

She was a 45-year Spokane resident.

Her first husband, Edwin Bezdicek, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Norman; a daughter, Nancy Bezdicek of Chattaroy; a son, Randall Bezdicek of Colbert; her mother, Emma Schmaltz of Walla Walla; a sister, Elsie DeVoir of Walla Walla; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Boseth Post Falls

Service for Evelyn Gladys Boseth, 75, will be at 11 a.m. today at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.

Mrs. Boseth, who died Monday, was born in Minnesota.

She moved to Post Falls in 1955. She owned a lawn and bedding plant business and also worked at General Instrument, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of the Sheep Producers Association and was active in 4-H. Mrs. Boseth was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Post Falls.

Her husband, Harold, died in 1971.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Boseth of Post Falls and Mikal Boseth of Sandpoint; two daughters, Karen Ulmer of Cheney and Sigrid Vira of Ephrata, Wash.; sister, Ruth; two brothers, Orville and Edwin Cuschell; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Covill Kellogg

Funeral Mass for Robert L. “Bob” Covill, 62, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Covill, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Tuesday.

He was a lifetime Silver Valley resident and worked for the city of Kellogg for 24 years and Zanetti Brothers prior to working for Inland Asphalt of Spokane for seven years.

Mr. Covill was a member of the Kellogg Elks and served as past exhalted ruler, and was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 690 and St. Rita’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a son, Joe Covill of Moscow, Idaho; a daughter, Ellen Valenzuela of Montana; a sister, Lois Holom of Spokane; and three grandchildren.

Helen Hall Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Helen Irene Hall, 72, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Community Methodist Church in Coeur d’Alene. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Moscow (Idaho) United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hall, who was born in Moscow, died Monday.

She grew up Moscow and graduated from Moscow High School in 1944 and then settled in Spokane, where she worked at Galena Air Force Base before returning to Moscow.

Mrs. Hall moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1953 and then to Davenport, Wash., in 1962.

She was co-owner of Davenport Auto Sales from 1965 until moving to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1977. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1982.

She was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, where she had served as past president and was a member of the Eagles Drill Team.

Mrs. Hall was a former member of the Davenport and Hayden Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries, where she had served as past president.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Davenport and Coeur d’Alene, and was active in numerous church groups. She had served as president of the United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Hall had been a Cub Scout leader.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; three sons, Gary Hall of Coeur d’Alene, and Roger and Merle Hall, both of Missoula; a daughter, Darlene Parker of New South Wales, Australia; three brothers, Oscar Hoseid and Marvin Bakken, both of Moscow, and Keneth Hoseid of Wilbur, Wash.; one sister, Anna Marie Reynolds of Tonasket, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Nathaniel McGowan Tekoa, Wash.

Rosary for Nathaniel “Nate” McGowan, 31, will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Desmet, Idaho. Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at the Desmet Mission Cemetery. Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McGowan, who was born in Hawthorne, Nev., died Sunday from complications of diabetes.

He moved to Tekoa in 1977 and graduated in 1984 from Tekoa High School.

Mr. McGowan worked as an automobile mechanic and farm laborer. He also repossessed cars.

He was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors include a son, Wesley McGowan of Spokane; his mother, Roycella Alberts of Tekoa; three sisters, Terri Wilmes and Heather Alberts, both of Plummer, Idaho and Kimberely Phillips of Desmet, Idaho; and his grandparents, Jerry and Lydia Thornburg of Hawthorne, Nev., and Howard McGowan of Fernly, Nev.

Alpha (Dooley) Taylor Yakima

Service for Alpha Juanita (Dooley) Taylor, 90, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Shawn and Sons Funeral Directors Inc. in Yakima. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Spokane.

Mrs. Taylor, who was born in Zillah, Wash., died Jan. 23.

In 1942, she moved to Spokane. She worked as a drapery seamstress for J. Poulin Furniture Co. for many years.

Mrs. Taylor moved to Yakima in 1990.

Survivors include a son, Emerson Taylor of Wisconsin.

Virginia ‘Ginger’ Earll Palouse, Wash.

Service for Virginia L. “Ginger” Earll, 75, is set for 1 p.m. today at Palouse Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Earll, who was born in Kooskia, Idaho, died Tuesday.

She graduated in 1940 from Onalaska (Wash.) High School.

Mrs. Earll lived in Oakland, Calif., for a time and was employed by the Del Monte food company. She worked as a machinist making lids for canned products. She retired in 1986.

In 1988, she moved to Palouse and was a member of the Palouse Roundtable and the Palouse Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Garitano of Palouse, Lee Stone of Portland and Mike Stone of Port Townsend, Wash.; two sisters, Myrtle Hewitt of Enumclaw, Wash., and Dixie Perry of Palouse; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Alan Massie Spokane

Memorial service for Alan F. Massie, 71, will be at 10 a.m. today at Westview Congregational Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Massie, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.

He graduated in 1944 from Lewis and Clark High School and served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Massie worked for the Postal Service for 25 years, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Westview Congregational Church, the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Beverly; a daughter, Neil Ann Ryan of Maple Valley, Wash.; a son, Tom Massie of Spokane; a sister, Betty Thielsen of Anchorage, Alaska; and four grandchildren.

Ross Coonrod Spokane

Graveside service for Ross L. Coonrod, 82, will be at 1 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Coonrod, a 40-year Spokane resident, died Monday.

He was born in Spokane and served in the Army.

Mr. Coonrod worked as an engineer for Spokane County and was a member of the Deer Park Elks.

His wife, Alene, died in 1991.

Survivors include a stepson, Richard Henry of Arizona.

Elda Burns Spokane

Graveside service for Elda Fern Burns, 85, will be at 3 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burns, a resident of Spokane for 54 years, died Tuesday.

A homemaker, she was born in Gun City, Mo. She was a member of First Church of the Open Bible.

Survivors include three daughters, Marcella Nelson, Phyllis Wilson and Shirley Cameron, all of Spokane; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Jessica Seim Spokane

Memorial service for Jessica Seim, 14, will be at 1 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.

Miss Seim, who was born in Tonasket, Wash., was found dead Jan. 23 in Seattle.

She was a 10-year resident of Spokane. She attended Valley Alternative School.

Miss Seim played the violin and sang.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Normandy and Chad Sorenson of Spokane; a sister, Lindsey Sorenson of Spokane; her maternal grandparents, Ward and Jewel Seim of Tonasket; her paternal grandparents, Craig and Lana Gruenig of Spokane; and her great-grandparents, Ralph and Dolly Lundy of Grants Pass, Ore.

Vickie Grant Spokane

Memorial service for Vickie Grant, 51, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Grant, a 32-year Spokane resident, died Sunday.

She was born in Lewiston and worked as the secretary for Spokane Lutheran School for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Grant was a member Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Carl; two daughters, Carrie McKinley of Spokane and LeAnn Ingraham of Kirkland, Wash.; a son, Nathan Grant of Spokane; a sister, Arvella Grimm of Oregon; three brothers, Bill Rasmussen of Idaho, Bob Rasmussen of Tri-Cities, Wash., and Allen Rasmussen of Oregon; and four grandchildren.

Leslie ‘Les’ Harold Priest River, Idaho

Memorial service for Leslie Smith “Les” Harold, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Priest River Community Congregational Church. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harold, who was born in Hartline, Wash., died Wednesday.

In 1940, he married Lois Hamshar in Priest River.

He worked for most his life in the timber industry.

Mr. Harold also worked for the state and federal forestry agencies.

He retired from the Bonner County School District after working 13 years as a custodian.

Mr. Harold was a member of Priest River Community Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Edward Harold of Tacoma, Bruce Harold of Moses Lake, Paul Harold of Falls City, Wash., and Don Harold of Toulouse, France; two daughters, Sandra Harold of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Judith Harold of Seattle; a brother, Ray Harold of Priest River; two sisters, Doris Stockton of Colorado and Betty Holley of Priest River; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
